Easily
accessible by roads from Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville is the beautiful
riverside town of Kampot.
A lot of tourists in the area use Kampot as a base for further
excursions to the beach resorts of Kep and the abandoned hill
station of Bokor. Whether for a relaxing stopover or a daytrip going
round the town, Kampot’s laid-back charm is truly undeniable.
What to See:
A
series of small rapids called Tek Chhouu Falls offer a cool
relief from the often dry climate of Cambodia. Located just 7km out of
town, the Falls is a popular bathing spot for locals and tourists alike
particularly during the weekends.
